Japanese VC Gets Pokemon Snap

We try for an air of professional detachment here at Game|Life East, but the news that Pokemon Snap would be coming to the Japanese Virtual Console on December 4th sent us into bouts of bouncing, squealing, glee. Yes, bouncing and squealing. There may even have been some clapping.

Though some consider it to be the bastard child of the Pokemon franchise (a title clearly belonging to Pokemon Channel), we in the East office love the game’s conceit of snapping pics of Pokemon in the wild. Never did manage to get a decent pic of Mew, though.

Of course, this news doesn’t necessarily mean Snap coming to our VC, but consider my fingers very firmly crossed. Pokemon Snap will cost 1000 points and will apparently let players send their favorite snaps to their friends. My photogenic Pokemans! Let me show you them!
